Career Management System (CMS)
Interactive Detailing (ID)

CMS-ID is designed and used by Sailors, Command Career Counselors and Command Personnel. The Web-based system allows Sailors to view available jobs and make their own applications or through their Command Career Counselor. Sailors can view CMS-ID through a secure website located at HTTPS://WWW.CMSID.NAVY.MIL

If you are a new user or need Career Counselor access or higher, please use the attached System Authorization Access Request - Navy (SAAR-N Rev 9/2011) signed by your CO, XO, or OIC.  The following rules must be followed for access.

1.  Block 11 - contains access level requested and EDIPI (DOD ID Number - usually on the back of your CAC).  Civilians submit Date of Birth.
2.  Block 15 to 16B - Must be signed by your CO, XO, or OIC.
3.  Blocks 18 to 21 - Must be completed by your Command Information Assurance Manager.
4.  Part III, blocks 26 to 30 - Must be completed by your Command Security Manager or whomever does security clearances for your command.

Once entered into the system, use your CAC to login. 

*Requests may be emailed to CMSID_inbox@navy.mil or faxed to 901-874-2697 or DSN 882-2697. When a user transfers, the gaining command must resubmit a new access request. No exceptions.

**Users should receive confirmation that an account has been created via email within 72 hours of receipt.
