Program Description

The United States Department of Agriculture's Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) plays a vital role in improving the quality of day care centers. The CAFP for Centers helps to subsidize the cost of food for day care centers allowing these day care centers to serve more nutritious meals. Participating centers receive reimbursement for the meals they serve.

This program is for centers and not individuals. Individuals do not apply for this program directly but become eligible for benefits if their center is a participant.
