Program Description

The New Hampshire Office of Energy and Planning Fuel Assistance Program (FAP) may be able to provide some relief for residents who are having trouble paying for heat during the winter season. The Office of Energy and Planning (OEP) contracts with six local Community Action Agencies (also known as CAAs) to provide service to eligible households. As funds become available, the Fuel Assistance Program provides benefits to qualified New Hampshire households to assist with heating costs. Renters and homeowners are eligible for the Fuel Assistance Program.

General Program Requirements

In order to qualify for this benefit program, you must be a resident of the state of New Hampshire , you must need financial assistance for home energy costs and your household's annual income before taxes must not exceed $27,651 if one person lives in the household; $36,159 if two people live in the household; $44,667 if three people live in the household; $53,175 if four people live in the household; $61,683 if five people live in the household; $70,191 if six people live in the household; $71,786 if seven people live in the household; and $73,382 if eight people live in the household. For larger households, add $1,596 for each additional person in the home.
