Program Description

The IHS Urban Indian Health Program supports contracts and grants that fund outreach and referral, case management, comprehensive primary care, limited primary care, dental, community health, substance abuse (outpatient and inpatient services), behavioral health, immunizations, HIV activities, health promotion and disease prevention, and other health programs, through other state, Federal, and local resources.

General Program Requirements

In order to qualify for this benefit program, you must be Native American/American Indian and you or a family member must be enrolled in a federally recognized American Indian tribe or Alaskan Native village.
