RSV HHS Regional Trends

Weekly laboratory test result data are collected on a voluntary basis. Because there is often a delay in reporting for some laboratories, data collection is less complete for the more recent weeks shown. The trend graphs below display a 3 week moving average.

In the United States, RSV infections typically occur during annual community outbreaks, during late fall, winter, and early spring. There may be variation in the timing of outbreaks between regions and between communities in the same region.
