SCAN Highlights - the latest on federal standards and conformity assessment

December 10, 2012 - The Administrative Conference of the United States recently examined the ways that federal agencies use third parties to assess regulatory compliance.  Recommendations included the use of private sector conformity assessment solutions whenever feasible to control costs.  The report's recommendations on Third Party Programs to Assess Regulatory Compliance were reviewed at the 57th Plenary Session on December 6, 2012.
