JPL Speakers Bureau

JPL Speakers Bureau Program JPL Speakers Bureau Program

The JPL Speakers Bureau Program seeks to educate the public by sending speakers out to various events and engagements. Our speakers give presentations that provide a blend of historical perspectives, present activities and future visions related to the Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

The JPL Speakers Bureau reaches diverse audiences of all educational levels and backgrounds. Our audiences include pre-school to college classes, libraries and museums, scouts, and professional, technical, civic and social organizations. Members also participate in conferences, workshops, lectures and local community events.

The JPL Speakers Bureau is a free service of NASA and is part of JPL's commitment to reaching out to the community. Our speakers may travel anywhere in the U.S. and abroad. Your organization will be asked to cover travel costs incurred by our speaker if your event is located outside a 50-mile radius of Pasadena, CA.

How to Request a Speaker

To request a speaker for your group, the NASA Speakers Bureau must receive a request, preferably 6-8 weeks before the event. Because the Speakers Bureau is a volunteer program, we cannot guarantee that all requests will be filled. Please note that you will be required to accept our standard Terms and Conditions in order to submit a request. We suggest that you review these before making your request. If you have any questions, you should contact the Speakers Bureau Coordinator for your state or region.

The request process is handled online through the Speaker Request Form. The form will ask you for basic information about the event (date, time, location audience, topic, etc.) that will be needed to process your request.

While the form asks for a specific date and topic, flexibility helps immensely in securing a NASA speaker and should be noted in the comments section.

When you press "submit," the completed form will automatically be sent to the Speakers Bureau Coordinator for your state or region where the event will take place. We look forward to working with you.
