- PIs may request meeting and/or presentation time at the Annual Meeting.
-
Approval as a Cohort Consortium Signature Project
A 'signature project' is a research project that has a particularly high level of innovation, timeliness, and scientific or public health impact. It is considered a priority project and has the full backing of the Consortium.
Criteria:
- Must meet the criteria for an approved project (described above).
- Project has a very high potential for scientific or public health impact and is timely.
- Project has a high potential for success and highlights the strengths of the Consortium in a unique way.
Actions and implications:
- Same as for an approved project, plus:
- The Secretariat is able to devote energy and time to help the project progress, including problem solving, strategizing to obtain funding (does not guarantee funding), and providing scientific advice.
- NCI staff may discuss the importance of the project within the Institute with the NCI Director.
-
Not Endorsed as a Cohort Consortium Project
Criteria:
- Does not sufficiently meet the above criteria.
Actions and implications:
- No support of the Secretariat; project not distributed or listed on the Consortium's Web site.
- PI proposer(s) are free to contact Consortium PIs on their own regarding the project.
