CON 100 — Shaping Smart Business Arrangements
Personnel new to the Contracting career field will gain a comprehensive understanding of the environment in which they will serve.  Students will develop professional skills for making business decisions and for advising other acquisition team members in successfully meeting customers’ needs.  Before beginning their study of technical knowledge and contracting procedures, students will learn about different mission areas and the procurement alternatives for each.  Knowledge management and information systems will be introduced as well.  Small group exercises will prepare the students to provide contracting support within the overarching business relationships of government and industry
Prerequisite:  None.

CON 110 — Mission Support Planning
This training course is designed for personnel new to the contracting workforce who are seeking FAC-C or DAWIA Level I training, or noncontracting personnel who play a role in the acquisition process and require this course for certification in their career field.  Students will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to perform planning and presolicitation activities during the acquisition planning phase of the acquisition process from forecasting requirements through receipt of procurement requests.

CON 111 — Mission Strategy Execution
This course is the next in the series of contract specialist courses, and continues to address supporting the customers’ missions, from preparation and issue of the solicitation through contract award and procedures for handling protests.  The course emphasizes putting the acquisition plan into action to deliver optimum mission support.
Prerequisite:  CON 110-Mission Support Planning

CON 112 — Mission Performance Assessment
This course takes mission support to its natural conclusion, performance and completion of the contract.  The course focuses on the use of performance metrics to evaluate contractor performance and assure compliance with contract requirements, from award through closeout.  The emphasis is on working with the customers and the contractors to assure that mission requirements are, and continue to be met.  Students will explore assessment methods, remedies for delays and noncompliance, preparing and pricing contract modifications, deal with disputes and claims, and closing out contracts upon completion.
Prerequisites:  CON 110-Mission Support Planning; and CON 111-Mission Strategy Execution

CON 120 — Mission Focused Contracting for Civilian Agencies
Mission Focused Contracting is the capstone course for Level I Contracting students.  This course engages the students in the entire acquisition process from meeting with the customer to completing the contract closeout process.  Students will have an opportunity to learn and apply leadership, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.  Using an integrated case study approach, students will apply the knowledge and skills gained in the previous Level I contracting courses.
Prerequisites:  CON 100-Shaping Smart Business Arrangements; CON 110-Mission Support Planning; CON 111-Mission Strategy Execution; and CON 112-Mission Performance Assessment
Course Length:  10 class days
