Program Description
Minnesota's Medical Assistance program provides comprehensive health care coverage. Covered services include doctor visits, hospitalization, prescriptions, eye exams, eyeglasses, dental care and more. Certain home care services are also covered when medically necessary.
General Program Requirements
In order to qualify for this benefit program, you must be a resident of the state of Minnesota, a U.S. national, citizen or permanent resident in need of health care/insurance assistance, whose financial situation would be characterized as low income or very low income. You must also be either pregnant, a child under age 21, a parent or relative caretaker of a dependent child(ren) under age 21, blind, age 65 or older, or have a disability.
