Summer Internship Programs for Undergraduate and High School Students
ORWH provides summer internship support for students through its signature Wellesley-in-Washington summer program and also through the ORWH-FAES-NIH High School Summer Student program, cosponsored with the Foundation for Advanced Education in the Sciences (FAES).
Wellesley-in-Washington
This program is available to Wellesley College students between their junior and senior years and provides the opportunity for them to spend the summer at the NIH and focus on health policy. Interns present posters explaining their summer accomplishments at the NIH summer student poster presentation day in August.

ORWH-FAES Summer High School Program
High school students from Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC, the summe at the NIH learning how to design and perform experiments and present their research findings. NIH senior scientific staff provides support and guidance and NIH fellows serve as preceptors for the students. The students present posters at the NIH summer student poster presentation day in August.
