Program Description
The National Health Service Corps offers this scholarship program
to students committed to providing primary health care in communities
identified as having a shortage of health professionals. The program offers
payment of tuition, fees and other reasonable educational costs (e.g.,
books, supplies, equipment) and includes a monthly stipend for up to four
years of education. Scholarship recipients serve in areas of greatest need
upon completion of their training (each year of support requires one year of
service, with a two-year minimum service commitment).
