Program Description

This program supports employment and training activities for Native American, Alaskan Native and Native Hawaiian individuals to develop their academic, occupational and literacy skills, make them more competitive in the workforce, and promote the economic and social development of their communities.

General Program Requirements

In order to qualify for this benefit program, you must be unemployed or about to be unemployed and you or a family member must be a member of a Federally recognized American Indian tribe or Alaskan Native village; or you must be a Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander, American Indian or Alaskan Native who is unemployed due to general declining economic conditions that make it unlikely for you to return to your previous employer.
