Catalog of Classes, Workshops, Overviews, and Presentations

Below is the most current catalog of classes, workshops, and/or presentations being offered by the Biometric Services Section’s Training and Records Testimony Team (TRTT). If you would like to take a class from the TRTT menu and you do not see it on the schedule, please contact us with your request. In addition, if there is something you would like to see added to the menu, please feel free to make your suggestion(s) to any TRTT Instructor or staff member!

New Facial Comparison and Identification Training Available: This five-day course at the CJIS Division in Clarksburg, West Virginia offers a comprehensive review of all current face training material in order to raise awareness of facial recognition and facial identification concepts. Seating is limited for each of the three sessions: December 3-7, 2012; and January 7-11 and February 4-8, 2013. Registration is open to authorized agencies with a valid originating agency number or a memorandum of understanding. There is no registration fee, but students and/or agencies are responsible for all travel expenses. For more information, see contact information below.

Also, please take advantage of our “Course Mapping.” This feature allows supervisors, managers, and our customers in the law enforcement community to “build your own” training event! Based on what you want to accomplish, one of our staff members will work with you to identify a complete training event for your team, group, unit, or agency. For example: you may want to organize a two/three day or even a week long “retreat” or functional training event for your staff. You would simply contact the TRTT; tell us your goals and the classes, workshops, or overviews from our catalog you want us to teach. We will work with you on selecting a set of dates, securing a classroom or location, and then tailor a training event to meet your needs. Please contact any Instructor for more information or to set up your event!

“Excellence is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, skillful execution and the vision to see obstacles as opportunities.”
