Technology Services Solutions Center provides direct support for development and management of applications, features and services of the USA.gov portal and facilitates contracts that support USA.gov web operations. Operations are focused around the following primary elements:
Support for USA.gov Portal – Continuing operations and support for the USA.gov portal including application development, integration with other applications, infrastructure and hosting operations. The Division also manages a search program for USA.gov and its related web sites that is also offered to other government websites under an affiliate program.
Providing Security Services for USA.gov Programs – Continuing operations and support for the USA.gov security services including investigation, analysis, and documentation in support of certification and accreditation activities; day-to-day security oversight; and continuous updates to the USA.gov infrastructure to respond to emerging threats.
Leadership – Developing applications, features and services for USA.gov and sharing best practices with other e-government initiatives. The Division shares its expertise with other agencies and EGov initiatives in order to encourage their development using industry best practices related to application development, cloud hosting, security and other related practices.
USA.gov Search Services
GSA’s Search.USA.gov is a powerful government-wide Internet search capability that is offered free to government agencies through the USA.Gov Search Services Affiliates Program.
USA.Gov Search Services allow federal, state, local, tribal, and territorial websites to provide simplified and structured search results to citizens. The USA.Gov Search Service supports nearly four million search queries a month and offers many useful features, including government images, related searches and more. The USA.Gov Search Affiliate Program, allows web managers to configure their organization’s website to use the USA.Gov Search platform through a simple administrative interface where they can enable/disable search features that best fit their unique needs. Affiliates can also customize results by boosting certain content types and share in future features being deployed periodically on USA.Search.gov.
