Eligibility & How to Apply

This page provides a summary of the eligibility requirements for individuals interested in participating in the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP)

Bullet Participant Eligibility Requirements. Includes low-income pregnant and breastfeeding women, other new mothers up to one year postpartum, infants, children up to their sixth birthday, and elderly persons at least 60 years of age who meet income eligibility requirements. 

(Note: Eligible participants cannot participate in USDA's Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) at the same time they participate in CSFP). 

Bullet Income Eligibility Guidelines. These are the Guidelines used by State agencies in determining in the income eligibility of persons applying for participation in CSFP.
