How to Apply

A complete application package should include all of the following:

  • Cover letter - stating anticipated date of graduation and availability date.
  • Resume (include two references).
  • Writing sample of reasonable length*.
  • College/University transcripts(s) as well as law school transcripts (photocopy acceptable), and class rank, if possible. Include an explanation of any unusual grading system.
  • Proof of school enrollment for the spring 2013 semester.

* An appropriate writing sample should demonstrate research, analytical and writing skills, (i.e., organization, grammar, spelling and persuasiveness). Do not submit edited work, such as a published law review article; however a draft that is totally your work is acceptable.

You must apply online at: https://www.usajobs.gov for the vacancies currently posted (2013-HQP-0330 and 2013-HQP-0332). Applicants requesting an exception from the online process must contact the Human Resources Specialist or contact point listed on the announcement prior to 12:00 noon local time on the closing date of the vacancy announcement.

2013 Appointment Application Schedule

The application period is open for the 2013 Pathways Summer Intern Program from February 6, 2013 through March 1, 2013 for summer 2013 employment.
