Compliance Actions
As part of the Data Bank's compliance effort to assist State Boards and other organizations with their reporting requirements, an online Compliance page, available through the Data Bank system, allows issue identification, communication, and resolution.
When the Data Bank identifies a potentially missing report, the reporter is notified via email and instructed to sign in to the Data Bank system. A new Compliance button appears on the Options page.
How to Get Started
Upon receipt of an email from the Data Bank:
- Sign in to the Data Bank system and proceed to the Compliance page.
- Select Compliance Actions.
- On the Compliance Actions page, select a subject name. The page features a Compliance Guide for assistance.
Note: Compliance actions are downloadable to Microsoft Excel (XLS) or Comma Separated Value (CSV) files for easy tracking or follow-up.
- On the Compliance Actions Resolution Options page, review the issue and take an action. Follow the instructions presented.
- The action will be marked as Pending and sent to the Data Bank for review.
- For follow-up communication, the reporter will receive an email stating that the Data Bank has sent a new message. The reporter should sign in to the Data Bank system, proceed to the Compliance page, and select Messages.
Each organization is responsible for resolving its own Compliance issues. See our Compliance Actions Tutorial (PDF - 883 KB) for more information.
