Quiz: Quality Control

  1. The quality control of completeness of casefinding should be performed semiannually at a minimum to allow for immediate correction of identified under-reported areas.
  2. If the number of reportable cases in the database has stayed the same by midyear, the registrar is absolutely sure that all sources of case ascertainment have been reviewed.
  3. Comparing monthly cases in previous years with the current period is one of the quality control procedures for casefinding.
  4. On a hospital level, comparison of facilities by year could identify increases or decreases in cases.
