Training Requirements

"Using Animals in Intramural Research: Guidelines for Animal Users" is offered as either a two hour lecture presentation OR as a web-based training course. In both formats, the training reviews relevant animal research laws and regulations, and describes animal handling and restraint techniques to ensure proper care and use of the research animals.

WEB BASED COURSE: Web-based course access

Completion time: 90 minutes (does not have to be completed in one session). You may exit the course at the end of any section and then return later using your user name and password.

Section Quiz: You must answer the questions correctly at the end of each section to receive credit for the course.

Notification: Upon completion of the course, your registration information will be sent electronically to OACU and recorded in their training database, and your Animal Care and Use Committee will be notified.
