As Administrator for the Transportation Security Administration, I appreciate being able to meet with so many others who are dedicated to serving the American people, and I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of your conversation.
Thank you, Natalie, for that gracious introduction and thank you all for inviting me to join you here today. As Administrator for the Transportation Security Administration, I appreciate the opportunity to meet with industry members and stakeholders to discuss TSA’s mission.
Good morning. Thank you, Phil (Lacombe), for the kind introduction, and thank you all for inviting me to help open the conference. Given the delay caused by last month’s devastating storm, I am pleased to see so many of you were able to adjust your schedules to be here today. Before I get started I would also like to thank Kerry Thomas and everyone at SARMA for helping build the strong relationship our two organizations enjoy. When it comes to advancing matters of national security, cooperation and collaboration are vital.
Good morning. Thank you, Chip (Barclay, AAAE president), for that kind introduction, and thank you for inviting me, once again, to meet and talk with so many colleagues actively working to improve and strengthen the aviation industry. That is an objective we share, and taking time to brainstorm and collaborate with each other at meetings such as this is valuable to the process.
Good morning. Thank you, Lee (Zak, USTDA Director), for that kind introduction, and thank you for giving me the opportunity to share some thoughts with all of you this morning. As you might guess, the subject of aviation security holds some significance for me, and I appreciate being able to discuss it in the context of trade and commerce, especially with partners as important to the United States of America as those represented here today.
Good afternoon. Thank you Minister Fletcher, and thank you all for joining us here at Ottawa’s MacDonald-Cartier International Airport. It is an honor to represent the United States for this important announcement.
