Program Description

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program offers free tax help to people who cannot afford professional assistance. In addition to free tax return preparation assistance, many sites also offer free electronic filing (e-filing). Volunteers help prepare basic tax returns for taxpayers with low to moderate incomes. Assistance is provided at community and neighborhood centers, libraries, schools, shopping malls, and other convenient locations.

General Program Requirements

In order to utilize this program, you must have low to moderate income, be disabled, not speak English well, or be a senior citizen.
