Open Skies Media Processing Facility
Operational since 1993 and located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, the Open Skies Media Processing Facility is the single United States Government facility dedicated to processing initial Open Skies imagery collected during aerial observation, demonstration and certification flights. The facility also provides imagery processing support and analyses of flight test data and duplication services for other state parties and government agencies. Staff includes military and civilian personnel dedicated to providing world-class quality original and duplicated imagery, analyses and technical support. The U.S. aircraft used for Open Skies missions are assigned to the Air Force's 45th Reconnaissance Squadron, part of the 55th Wing, located at Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska.
