Federally Facilitated Exchange Eligibility and Enrollment Learning Collaborative

The Federally Facilitated Exchange (FFE) Eligibility and Enrollment MAC Collaborative is working with a cohort of states that will be fully utilizing, or partnering with, the FFE.  Consumers in FFE states will access both Qualified Health Plans and Insurance Affordability Programs (Medicaid, CHIP and Premium Tax Credits) through the FFE, requiring the FFE to coordinate closely with state Medicaid, CHIP and insurance agencies.  The collaborative is initially focusing on: (1) establishing eligibility and enrollment processes for Insurance Affordability Programs under an FFE model; (2) identifying critical coordination and integration points between Medicaid/CHIP and the FFE; and (3) developing strategies to harmonize policies, operations, and systems to ensure a seamless eligibility pathway for consumers. Collaborative activities began in August 2012.
