Fashion Week 2009

This past February, The Heart Truth® gave women everywhere an early Valentine with the debut of the 2009 Red Dress Collection. This collection's debut is an inspiring event that celebrates the Red Dress as the national symbol for women and heart disease awareness. On Friday, February 13, The Heart Truth brought 20 of today’s hottest celebrities together on the runway in fashions created by America’s top designers for women’s heart health.

The Red Dress® was created and introduced by The Heart Truth as the national symbol for women and heart disease awareness in 2002 to deliver an urgent wake-up call to American women. The Red Dress reminds women of the need to protect their heart health and inspires them to take action. Each February since its launch, the Red Dress symbol has come to life on the runway with the support of the fashion industry and celebrity models at the Red Dress Collection Fashion Show.

The Red Dress Collection 2009 Fashion Show was presented by Diet Coke with national sponsors Swarovski and Johnson & Johnson, and make-up partner Bobbi Brown Cosmetics.

Red Dress Collection Auction

For the first time ever a selection of dresses worn by celebrities in Red Dress Collection fashion shows was available for the public to bid on at www.clothesoffourback.org through a partnership with the Clothes Off Our Back Foundation. Proceeds benefited the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health and will be used to further efforts related to women’s heart health awareness and research.
