Value-Based Purchasing: Integrated Care Models in Fee-for-Service Delivery Systems

The Value-Based Purchasing: Integrated Care Models in Fee-for-Service Delivery Systems MAC Collaborative worked with states on strategies for improving care and lowering costs in non-risk based arrangements (e.g., fee-for-service or primary care case management (PCCM) models). State participants partnered with CMS to explore new options for:  (a) payment policies; (b) integrated care models; (c) quality measurement; and (d) beneficiary protections.  Collaborative activities began in February 2012 and concluded in October 2012.
