Molecular analysis (CMA portal)

Explore, visualize and integrate genomic data with corresponding clinical information from large collections of multi-dimensional research data such as The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA), REMBRANDT, TARGET, and others, through a single web-based interface called the caBIG® Molecular Analysis (CMA) Portal.

Currently available data

Currently the CMA portal provides analytical access to the following data sets:

  • The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) Glioblastoma (GBM)
  • The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) Ovarian cancer
  • REMBRANDT (GBM)
  • TARGET Acute Lymphoblastic Anemia (ALL)

Types of analysis

  • Plot gene expression data
  • Plot Kaplan-Meyer survival graphs correlated with any available genomic information
  • Visualize gene mutations (SNPs and copy number variations) in the gene or genome views
  • View heatmaps showing gene expression and methylation data, somatic mutations, CNV
  • Perform Principle Component Analysis (PCA) and use other tools from GenePattern to analyze gene expression and genomic data.

Use the CMA portal

The best way to get started is to visit the CMA portal and identify your areas of interest.
