Thanks to all of you, your AccrualNet community is growing quickly! In the 3 months since we launched the new AccrualNet, 344 of your peers have joined. We thought you’d like to know a little bit about the colleagues that you can connect with in the AccrualNet community. Here are a few fun facts about YOU:

  • Experience: the perfect mix for a thriving learning community! About half of you have less than 10 years experience and half more than 10 years experience. There are nearly the same numbers of ‘newbies’ as there are ‘oldies’. My interpretation is that someone in the community can probably answer any question that comes up!
  • Your job: most of you are a nurse, a CRA or study coordinator, or an administrator or manager.  You will NOT be surprised to know that many of you are wearing multiple hats.  But you may be surprised to know that our community includes physicians and principal investigators, educators and outreach specialists…and a social media specialist!
  • Where you work—literally everywhere!! All over the US and abroad. You work predominantly in academic centers or community hospitals.
  • What you are interested in: the top 5 areas of interest are recruitment (thank goodness!), community outreach, research site management, communication strategies, and data management

As you can see, we have a diverse and growing community. The power of this community will come to light with your participation. Check out the great question posted last week about HIPPA restrictions and EMR use. Given the experience across our community, no doubt you can chime in and add your experience to the conversation!

Remember what our video says…AccrualNet, it’s the perfect place to start!
