Genetics Interest Group

The GIG promotes discussion of recent trends in both basic genetics and human genetics. Informal talks covering ongoing genetic research occur monthly on Tuesdays at 3:30 p.m. in Building 49, first floor conference rooms A and B. Messages can be posted to the GIG membership through GIG-L@list.nih.gov.  The GIG is one of seven "major" NIH Scientific Interest Groups, which serve also as umbrellas for more specialized interestest groups.
