Mission Statement

One of breastfeeding community-based demonstration projects (CDPs) throughout the United States, the Rosebud Sioux Tribal Health Department works in coordination with the US Department of Health and Human Services Office on Women's Health and the Advertising Council to implement the National Breastfeeding Awareness Campaign on a local level. The CDPs will attempt to build self-efficacy by working to educate women about the benefits of breastfeeding, empower them to choose to breastfeed, and create awareness that breastfeeding is normal, desirable, and achievable.
