Mission Statement
The Cancer Information Service (CIS), a national information and education network, is a free public service of the National Cancer Institute, the Nation's primary agency for cancer research. This award- winning program is the source of the latest, most accurate cancer information for patients, their families, the general public, and health professionals. The CIS also serves as a resource for education and outreach to minority audiences and people with limited access to health care information or services.
