Roles/Responsibilities of the Records Liaison In general, IC Records Liaisons are responsible for overseeing the records management program in their IC by: Providing advisory and support services to IC staff; Assisting staff in locating the proper records disposition schedule for the records they need to send to FRC or NARA; Preparing or assisting IC staff in completing the SF-135 Records Transmittal and Receipt and forwarding to the NIH Records Management Officer for processing; Preparing or assisting IC staff in completing the OF-11 Reference Request - Federal Records Centers and forwarding the request directly to the Federal Records Center; and Being the contact person for questions or concerns between IC staff and the NIH Records Management Officer. Roles/Responsibilities of the Requesting Office and Staff Initiates requests to transfer records to WNRC or withdraw records from WNRC; Boxes records and marks the boxes according to WNRC guidelines before transfer to WNRC; and Prepares forms such as SF 135, OF 11, and 13001 and other paperwork necessary for sending, withdrawing or disposing of records at WNRC and transmits the paperwork to the IC RMO or to the NIH RMO, 6011 Executive Blvd., Rm. 601, MSC 7669, as instructed.
