Mission Statement

FVPSA is the primary Federal funding stream dedicated to the support of emergency shelter and related assistance for victims of domestic violence and their dependents. Funding to the States, Territories, and Tribes provides core support to more than 1,500 community-based domestic violence programs. Annually, these local programs respond to more than 1.4 million calls to crisis hotlines, and provide emergency shelter and other services to more than 119,300 victims of domestic violence and 120,900 children.
