Mission Statement

The Society for the Study of Reproduction (SSR) was founded on June 21, 1967, to promote the study of reproduction by fostering interdisciplinary communication among scientists, holding conferences, and publishing meritorious studies. We are basic scientists, medical and veterinary physicians, trainees in graduate and professional schools, and others engaged in research, education, and training in fields relevant to reproductive biology. We are affiliated with colleges and universities, medical and veterinary schools, medical centers, research institutes, government agencies, and industry in some forty-seven countries.
