Mission Statement

The Melanoma Education Foundation is a non-profit organization which provides education about this tragic disease, emphasizing the importance of monthly self-examination of the skin to detect melanomas early while they are thin and curable. The Melanoma Education Foundation increases awareness of melanoma three ways: conducts workshops for high school health educators and provides them with student materials and lesson plans; provides complete information about early self-detection and prevention of melanoma in a user-friendly website; and , conducts and participates in Massachusetts area wellness outreach events.
