"Pale Riders"

Welcome to 4-4 CAV Squadron, home of the Pale Riders. We can trace our origins to the 4th Cavalry Regiment which was formed on 03 August 1861 at Jefferson Barracks, Missouri. Our squadron has a proud and illustrious history, which includes participation in the Civil War, the Philippines, World War II, the Gulf War, and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Our present day mission is to conduct worldwide full-spectrum operations. If you will be joining the Pale Rider family soon, please visit the article entitled "Welcome Letter" to gain more information about joining the squadron. This unit replaced the 1st Battalion, 34th Armor, which deactivated on Fort Riley Summer 2009.
