COCA’s Weekly Updates are normally disseminated every other week (biweekly). As a result of CDC’s response to the 2010 Haiti Cholera Outbreak weekly distributions will occur. The next COCA Update is scheduled for January 3, 2011.

Flu View – 2010-2011 Influenza Season Week 50 ending December 18, 2010 – CDC (Dec 23)
During week 50 (December 12-18, 2010), influenza activity in the United States increased. Of the 4,733 specimens tested by U.S. World Health Organization (WHO) and National Respiratory and Enteric Virus Surveillance System (NREVSS) collaborating laboratories and reported to CDC/Influenza Division, 744 (15.7%) were positive for influenza.
