Celebrating 10 Years at the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau 2003-2013

10 YearsFormed by the Homeland Security Act of 2002, TTB is now a decade older, and has distinguished itself as an innovative agency in the federal government.

One hallmark of our first generation as a bureau is our effective implementation of technology and responsive service. With TTBOnline, which includes COLAs Online, Permits Online, and Formulas Online, we brought our industry members online alternatives to paper applications, significantly increasing electronic ("paperless") transactions with the public we serve, and supporting Treasury's paperless initiative.

Now we will build on our established foundation to create TTB 2.0-a bureau with a leaner, smarter business model that is driven by data, informed by risk, and focused on improving mission results in both its revenue and trade facilitation roles.
