At Third Forum on the State of Legal Aid, Judges DIscuss Access to Justice in the Southeast, Board Hears Update on Legal Needs of Veterans
On October 1, five distinguished jurists discussed the role of legal aid in the administration of justice, and experts provided an update on the civil legal needs of veterans. Both panels were part of a forum on the state of civil legal assistance, convened by the LSC Board of Directors in conjunction with its quarterly meeting. Held at the Duke University Fuqua School of Business, it was the third such forum hosted by LSC in 2012. Following the forum, LSC honored five lawyers for their volunteer work with Legal Aid of North Carolina.
