Technical Assistance

HUD has set the standard across federal government for its technical assistance and capacity building programs for neighborhood-based non-profit organizations.  In addition to technical assistance programs such as those offered by the Office of Community Planning and Development, the Center works with HUD field and program offices to offer over 40 organizational capacity building workshops annually around the country.  These one- and two-day trainings are designed for smaller grassroots non-profits seeking to strengthen their effectiveness by covering the following topics:

The Center collaborates with HUD program offices as well as other federal departments to ensure that training events not only provide a comprehensive view of federal resources and partnership opportunities available to grassroots non-profits, but also provide important opportunities for federal officials to receive invaluable input from community stakeholders.
