SAMHSA is accepting applications for up to $30 million in State Adolescent Enhancement and Dissemination grants


The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is accepting applications for State Adolescent Treatment Enhancement and Dissemination grants totaling up to $30 million over the course of a three year period. The program will provide funding to states, territories and tribes to improve treatment services for adolescents through the development of “learning laboratories” with collaborating local community-based treatment providers. Through the shared experiences among these providers, an evidenced –based practice will be developed and implemented to enhance services to youth and families in these communities.

SAMHSA expects that up to $10 million will be available annually to fund up to 10 grants, at up to $1 million per grant, for up to three years. The actual award amounts may vary, depending on the availability of funds.

WHO CAN APPLY: Single State Agencies within states, tribal governments, territories and the District of Columbia; and federally recognized American Indian/Alaskan Native tribes and tribal organizations. See Section III-1 of this RFA for complete eligibility information.

APPLICATION DUE DATE: July 11, 2012. Applications must be received by the due date and time to be considered for review. Please review carefully Section IV-3 of the application announcement for submission requirements.
