Poet Terrance Hayes appears at the 2011 National Book Festival.
Speaker Biography: The 2010 National Book Award for poetry went to Terrance Hayes for his collection "Lighthead" (Pengiun). Before that his "Wind in a Box" was named one of the Best 100 Books of 2006 by Publishers Weekly. Hayes is also a recipient of the Pushcart Prize and National Endowment for the Arts and Guggenheim fellowships. His work has appeared three times in Best American Poetry. Hayes is a professor of creative writing at Carnegie Mellon University.
