National Archives Building, Washington, DC

Entrance
Both the Pennsylvania Avenue and Constitution Avenue entrances are wheelchair-accessible.

Parking
Handicapped-designated parking is available in a three-vehicle lot on Ninth Street between Constitution Avenue and Pennsylvania Avenue for researchers or other visitors to the National Archives Building.

Subway
In Washington, DC, the Metrorail System serves the National Archives at the Archives/Navy Memorial station. The station has an elevator to street level and is conveniently located directly across the street from the wheelchair-accessible Pennsylvania Avenue entrance.

In Washington, DC, prior to your visit special parking passes may be obtained from the Security Staff, telephone: 202-357-5023.

National Archives at College Park (Archives II)

Entrance
The National Archives at College Park is a fully accessible building.

Parking
Ample handicap parking is available. Handicapped-designated parking is closest to elevators on all three levels of the parking garage.

Subway
In College Park, the nearest subway stop is Prince George's Plaza with bus service (please see below) to the building.

Bus
The R3 Metrobus stops near the elevator at Metrorail's Prince George's Plaza subway station. Please note that on weekdays the R3 Metrobus is not regularly equipped with a wheelchair lift. To arrange for a lift-equipped R3 Metrobus, please call Metrobus ON-CALL Service at 202-862-1825 at least 24 hours in advance and before 2:30 p.m.

Free Shuttle Service between Washington, DC and College Park
Handicapped access is available on the free shuttle bus between the National Archives buildings in Washington, DC and College Park, MD. Please call 301-837-3263 in order to make the necessary arrangements. The shuttle runs on the hour from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, between the buildings in Washington, DC and College Park. The shuttle buses are lift-equipped for wheel chairs.
