Welcome to the Office of Environmental Justice’s new blog Environmental Justice in Action! The purpose of the blog is to bring you stories about the actions people are taking to advance environmental justice across the country. From Alaska to the Gulf Coast people are working hard to ensure that environmental pollution is reduced and that the benefits of a healthy environment are enjoyed by every community.
I hope this blog will be a resource for you and that you join the conversation. With thousands of individuals and hundreds of organizations working tirelessly towards this mission, we want to capture your efforts, your actions, and the lessons you’ve learned, so we can share them with other organizations and stakeholders. Additionally, I hope this blog brings to your attention a number of federal and state programs, as well as policies and resources that may be beneficial to your communities. In short, the information shared here is intended to educate, engage and communicate with a diverse group of stakeholders working to achieve environmental justice.
With the 20th anniversary of the environmental justice program at EPA just around the corner, this blog will also inform you of the activities and events to commemorate our collective progress and to discuss the future of the environmental justice movement in the next 20 years.

I would like to see more information/blogs on what role Faith-based organizations and associations are doing in the field of environmental justice. I think we play a vital role being a central point in many communities across the country.
