Be Active Your Way Blog

About this Blog

The Be Active Your Way Blog is hosted by Silje Lier from the Office of Disease Prevention & Health Promotion (ODPHP), within the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services. The purpose of the blog is to stimulate dialog among professionals who work on Physical Activity promotion about how they can encourage Americans to get the physical activity they need based on the Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans. Our goal is to provide a forum where professionals can learn from and connect with each others promoting physical activity and the Guidelines as a way to share successes and lessons learned – both through blog post content and comments reacting to them.

A group of Contributing Bloggers write for the blog by discussing what their organizations are doing to encourage physical activity and share successes, lessons learned, and best practices. Through our Contributing Bloggers, the blog also offers news about developments on the topic of physical activity outreach and promotion within and outside of the Federal government.
