Deploying Internet and Intranet Firewalls

Program Overview
This course is designed to assist RMS IT Examiners perform a detailed review of the security and audit settings found in most firewalls. This course discusses technical topics and is intended for individuals examining information technology in banks and at service providers. Attendees should have an intermediate knowledge of information technology and security concepts.

Key Objectives
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • understand how firewalls operate, and
  • perform a fairly detailed review of firewall settings.

Instructional Format
Facilitated classroom discussion and lectures.

Duration
Four and one-half days.

Level
Intermediate.

Target Audience
IT Subject Matter Experts and IT Examiners.

Prerequisites
Participant should have attended ITEC and all Basic Level courses
