Interagency Agroforestry Team
In January 2010, the Forest Service (FS) and Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) initiated an effort to develop a National Strategic Framework for Agroforestry. FS and NRCS reached out to other agroforestry cooperators in USDA and two key partners to charter an Interagency Agroforestry Team (IAT) that would jointly develop the Strategic Framework with input from a diverse group of stakeholders. The IAT includes representatives from five USDA agencies:
- USDA Forest Service (FS)
- USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS)
- USDA Agricultural Research Service (ARS)
- USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA)
- USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA)
and two key partners:
- National Association Of Conservation Districts (NACD)
- National Association Of State Foresters (NASF)
