NCAA Football- The U.S. Military Academy Corps of Cadets show their spirt prior to the to the home opener against Northern Illinois, Sept. 15, West Point, N.Y. The Huskies held off the Black Knights second half surge to win 41-40.

In preparation for April’s annual Sandhurst Military Skills Competition, representatives from eight countries and more than 10 universities visited West Point to familiarize themselves with the training area and facilities.

The Army Women’s Tennis Team has started the season 3-0 after dominating wins against Seton Hall, Binghamton, and Sacred Heart.

Brass and percussion members of the West Point Concert Band and the Cadet Color Guard represented the U.S. Military Academy at the Grand Central Terminal Centennial Celebration.

Brigadier Gen. Richard Clarke, the commandant of cadets, presented the Henry O. Flipper Award to Cadet William Alfonsi, Class of 2013.

Superintendent's Notes

"A few short months remain before graduation for the Class of 2013. But the day to day life of the Corps of Cadets in Term 2 is an undistracted focus on academic, military and physical development, which will lead to the privilege of becoming an officer in the US Army. The cool, gray days of winter are defined by long hours in academic buildings learning about the laws of physics or the laws of war, competing in hundreds of athletic contests, or marching into Washington Hall for another hearty winter meal. All have optimism that spring is just over Storm King Mountain or just around the bend in the Hudson."
