Accessibility Information for Internet Users with Disabilities
We are committed to making the electronic technologies we deploy accessible
to individuals with disabilities. In this effort, we work with the Access
Board, an independent Federal agency devoted to accessibility for
people with disabilities. The Access Board established Federal standards
for electronic and information technology under Section 508 of the Rehabilitation
Act. Each month the Bureau uses an accessibility analysis software program
to evaluate compliance with these standards.
The Bureau's work on accessible design is continuous, and we welcome
feedback on improving the accessibility features of our site. Please contact
FCC Support with your
suggestions or comments.
Portable Document Format (PDF) |
|
|
The majority of the documents posted on our site are presented in multiple
formats, including the Adobe Acrobat Portable Document Format (PDF). To help
people with visual disabilities work more effectively with Adobe® Acrobat®
software and Adobe PDF files, Adobe Systems, Inc. offers resources at Adobe
Accessibility.
Universal Licensing System and
Antenna Structure Registration |
|
|
The Universal Licensing System (ULS) and
the Antenna Structure Registration (ASR)
are electronic filing applications. We are currently working on
these systems to improve compatibility with assistive devices. Disabled
individuals experiencing difficulties with ULS or ASR should contact FCC
Support.
To learn more about other actions the FCC is taking to ensure that
new technologies are accessible, see Disabilities
Issues.
