AMHCA has launched a new partnership with publisher and education provider Psychotherapy Networker. This partnership will help support a community of practice in the often isolating profession of clinical mental health counseling.

Is Neuroscience the Key to Understanding the Mechanism of Action of Hypnosis?

Author Kathy Kravits, an LPC and RN, notes that randomized clinical trials show that hypnosis is a safe and effective therapy for managing many complex symptoms, including anxiety, distress, and pain. She believes hypnosis warrants more widespread clinical use and urges mental health counselors to use hypnosis as a therapeutic technique with their clients.
